World HPP Day

October 30, 2023

2023 marks the 75th anniversary of hypophosphatasia since being first described, in 1948, by Dr. John C. Rathbun, a Canadian pediatrician. Read more about Dr. Rathbun’s original case here.

On this World HPP Day, we celebrate how far we’ve come, but also recognize how far we still have to go in understanding the impact of low alkaline phosphatase in the body.

This year we come together to make some noise about HPP! Let’s share our stories to raise awareness now and change the future of HPP.

There are many ways you can get involved. Learn more below.

World HPP Day is a time for the HPP community to come together and raise awareness about hypophosphatasia. Whether you’re living with HPP, a family member or friend, a caregiver, a researcher or a healthcare professional we invite you to join us in fulfilling our mission.
